Highly sought after model and for good reason. Considered some of the best ‘Lester’ copies ever produced out of Japan. This LS-120 features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a single piece Mahogany body and neck, ‘double white’ DiMarzio PAF’s (which sound incredible) and a flamed veneer top on fully mahogany body (much like Les Paul Customs from ’54 through ’60). Attractive ‘Old Sunburst’ (OS) finish. Very original example save for a couple of points, the control knobs have been replaced with reproductions (3 of the 4 for the originals are in the instruments case), and the guitar is missing its pickguard. This one has been played and has some authentic playwear to the finish. The nickel hardware has oxidised and looks the part. Comfortable neck profile, somewhere between a fat ’59 and a thinner ’60 (but more on the beefy end of the spectrum). Nice medium weight for a ‘Les Paul’, definitely on the lighter side and very resonant. Come and have a play, these Tokai’s command a respectable price for a reason, they are truly exceptional! Includes original ‘Tokai’ branded Lifton style ‘brown case’. Made in Japan, Serial number 1011669.
